First, as a printed circuit board, PCB mainly provides interconnection between electronic components. There is no direct relationship between color and performance. The difference in pigments does not affect the electrical properties. Whether the performance of the PCB board is good or not is determined by the materials used (high Q value), wiring design and several layers of boards. However, in the process of washing the PCB, black is the most likely to cause chromatic aberration. If the raw materials used in the PCB factory and the manufacturing process are slightly different, the PCB defect rate will increase due to color difference, which directly leads to increased production costs.
In fact, the raw materials of PCB are everywhere in our daily life, that is glass fiber and resin. Glass fiber is combined with resin. Hardened into a kind of isolation, insulation, and not easy to bend the board, this is the PCB substrate. Of course, the PCB substrate composed of glass fiber and resin alone cannot transmit signals, so on the PCB substrate, the manufacturer will cover the surface with a layer of copper, so the PCB substrate can also be called a copper clad substrate.
Because the black PCB circuit traces are difficult to identify, it will increase the difficulty of maintenance and debugging in the R&D and after-sales phase. Generally, there is no brand with deep RD designers and a strong maintenance team. It is not easy to use black PCB. It can be said The use of black PCB is a brand's confidence in the RD design and post-maintenance team. From the side, it is also a manifestation of the manufacturer's confidence in its own strength.
Based on the above reasons, PCB manufacturers will carefully consider when choosing the PCB design for their products. Therefore, most of the products with large market shipments in that year used red PCBs, green PCBs or blue PCBs. Only black, medium-high-end or top flagship products can see black PCBs, so don't think of black circuit boards anymore. Better than green PCB.
