Method for optimizing vehicle PCB defect rate

Automotive PCBs play an important role in today's critical PCB applications. Due to the special working environment, safety and high current requirements of the car, the PCB reliability and environmental adaptability are very high, and the types of PCB technologies involved are also extensive.

1, the second test method

Some PCB manufacturers have adopted a "secondary test method" to increase the defect rate found in the first high-voltage electrical breakdown.

2, the bad board is a foolproof test system

More and more PCB manufacturers have installed “good board marking system” and “bad board error prevention box” on the light board testing machine, which effectively avoids human error. A good board marking system identifies the tested PASS board for the test machine and prevents the test board or bad board from flowing to the customer. The bad board anti-missing box is the signal of the test system output box opening when testing the PASS board during the test; otherwise, when testing the bad board, the box is closed, allowing the operator to correctly place the board under test.

3, improve test parameters

Choose higher test parameters to rigorously test such PCBs. PCBA OEM foundry materials, if you choose a higher voltage and threshold, increase the number of high-voltage read leakage, can improve the detection rate of PCB defective board. For example, a large Taiwanese PCB company in Suzhou uses 300V, 30M and 20 ohms to test automotive PCBs.
