PCB design process
Before you start drawing wires and things, you need to know which circuit to build. Therefore, you need to find or design a schematic. And you need a PCB design software. Then you can start the process.
First draw the schematic into the software of your choice.
It’s time to draw a picture. We need to transfer your schematic to the drawing on the printed circuit board. Most PCB software has tools to help you draw boards from schematics.
Things to consider during the design process
Will you put the board in a box? Keep in mind that tall parts may need to be laid flat to accommodate. Place the component on the board and print it on a piece of paper. Use this paper version of the board to test if it fits the box and if your connector is suitable.
Check the circuit and make the PCB
When you're done drawing the board, it's time to get your PCB design ready for manufacturing.
This basically means you need to check the board for errors and convert the board layout to a Gerber file. Then, choose an inexpensive PCB manufacturer, such as XD, and make your board.
