ZTE's breakthrough in chip research and development not only means that China's second self-developed 7nm 5G chip was officially born, but ZTE's pressure achieved a turnaround, and chip development will no longer rely on foreign technology companies. According to data released by German patent data Plytics, it has mastered 2,561 5G patented technologies, ranking third in the world, second only to Huawei and Qualcomm. Behind the development progress of the 5nm process 5G chip, ZTE is also a high investment in research and development. According to Xie Junshi, executive vice president and chief operating officer of ZTE, in the past three years, ZTE spent 12.1 billion yuan on research and development every year.
