Printed Circuit Board Industry Specifications

Not long ago, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology issued the “Printed Circuit Board Industry Specification” (hereinafter referred to as “Standard Conditions”) and the “Interim Measures for the Administration of Printed Circuit Board Industry Specification Announcement”. The two documents will be implemented on February 1 this year. . The document specifically states:

1. The “Regulations” encourage the development of the printed circuit board industry, build well-equipped industrial parks, and guide enterprises to withdraw from the market. Strict control of new printed circuit board projects, low technical level, and simple expansion of production capacity.

2. In terms of production scale and process technology, the “Regulations” require enterprises to have independent production, sales and service capabilities of printed circuit board products; R&D expenditure is not less than 3% of the main business income of the year, encouraging enterprises to reach provincial level or above. Level. High-tech enterprise qualification or R&D institutions and technology centers; the products produced have technical patents; last year the actual production of the company was not less than 50% of the actual production capacity.

3. The “standard conditions” also require the per capita output value of existing enterprises, the investment scale and input-output ratio of new construction renovation projects, and the technical requirements of enterprises and projects. In terms of quality management, enterprises should establish and continuously improve the measurement management system, with electrical testing, dimensional measurement, automatic optical inspection and other testing capabilities (except for single panel). Encourage enterprises to be equipped with high-low temperature cycle, temperature shock, damp heat and other environmental adaptability test capabilities, and pass the measurement management system certification.

PCB is the mother of electronic products, also known as printed circuit boards. It is an important electronic component that supports electronic components and carriers for the electrical connection of electronic components. After the electronic equipment adopts the printed circuit board, due to the consistency of the same printed circuit board, manual wiring is avoided, the electronic components can be automatically inserted or installed, automatically soldered, and automatically detected to ensure the quality of the electronic equipment. Improve labor productivity, reduce costs and promote maintenance.

Over the years, the global PCB industry has grown steadily. In 2018, the global PCB market output reached 56.68 billion US dollars, an increase of 7.3% over 2017. It is estimated that the global PCB market will reach 68.8 billion US dollars in 2022, and the compound growth rate will reach 4.0% in 2017. In recent years, with the global electronics industry shifting to China, the focus of the PCB industry has also shifted to the mainland. Before 2000, 70% of the world's PCB production was distributed in Europe, the United States (mainly North America) and Japan. With the continuous transfer of production capacity, the Asian region has become the world's major PCB supply base, with a total output value close to 90% of the global total output, and the mainland has become the region with the highest PCB production capacity.

From the internal structure of the PCB industry, high-end PCB products have great room for development, among which multi-layer boards, FPC (flexible circuit board) and HDI (high-density circuit board) are the main forces. market. . In 2017, the total number of multi-layer boards, FPC (flexible circuit board) and HDI (high-density circuit board) was as high as 74%.
